An infinite amount of subtle bits of signal

You are quite literally built to sense an infinite amount of subtle bits of signal from your fellow humans. We were not built to live alone in caves; we were built to live together in them.

What We Lost eloquently explains my underlying feelings as we continue to navigate the pandemic. I love the additional flexibility we all have to mold work around our lives, as opposed to our lives around work, but I deeply miss the in-person interactions. I don’t read this as depressing, though I could see it that way, rather I look forward to the time when we get to use all of our senses again. On a side note, Michael Lopp, the author of that post has likely had the most influence on my view of management and leadership of any human that I haven’t worked with directly.
